I wanted to specifically dedicate this article to someone who goes by the Twitter handle @mavensbot who initially came up with the Bitcoin Wizards artwork on the 18th of February 2013. This of course has since become the backdrop and inspiration of my favorite community and initiative called: Taproot Wizards. You can click on this link to learn more about Taproot Wizards.
But let’s dive a little deeper into why this Bitcoin Wizard drawing back in 2013 was just so special from the viewpoint of a pure artist.
Below I’m putting two masterpieces side by side to just demonstrate the skill, artistic finesse, and talent that must have been required to successfully craft the Bitcoin Wizard:
On the one hand, you have depth in complexity, contrasting colors that beautifully flow from one object to the other. It demonstrates the passion for perfection. Then, in the case of the Pieter Bruegel piece, although there is some complexity, it doesn’t quite tell the story in the same way as the @mavensbot piece does.
As an “official” thank you to @mavensbot for the art I decided to purchase my very own Bitcoin Wizard, which, although I won’t use it as my profile picture (I really want to reserve that space should I be lucky enough to get a Taproot Wizard) I did want to show my support for the inspiration.
